Miller Bustos

Miller Bustos, the proud owner of Finca El Mirador, represents the third generation of his family to cultivate coffee on their land. He inherited the farm from his mother about 20 years ago and has since made significant strides in the coffee industry. Located in Acevedo, Colombia, Finca El Mirador covers an area of 3 hectares and stands at an altitude of about 1,500 meters above sea level.

In the past two decades, Bustos has dedicated himself to producing coffee, focusing particularly on specialty coffees in the last seven years. This shift was motivated by the desire to attain better market premiums and ensure stable prices, primarily appealing to high-end roasters. His efforts have led to improved infrastructure on the farm and the development of new washing and drying processes, enhancing the quality of the coffee produced.

The farm is renowned for its unique approach to fermentation methods and the production of distinctive coffee varieties. Bustos’ dedication to his craft is evident in his hope that coffee drinkers will appreciate the love and hard work that goes into each cup. His two daughters also show interest in continuing the family legacy, planning to pursue higher education in agronomy and related fields to contribute to the coffee business.
