Product details
A single-dose coffee bean storage system from Weber Workshops. The set includes 12 borosilicate glass tubes, each sized for 18–22 g of roasted beans, with machined aluminum caps fitted with a proprietary one-way valve. The valve lets CO2 from freshly roasted coffee escape while keeping oxygen out, so your beans are only exposed to air twice: once when you fill the tube and once when you grind. Available with a Teak & Brass or Stabilized Maple Onyx caddy.
- Set contents: 12 glass cellars with valve caps, caddy, brass handle, stainless steel funnel, coffee brush, 3 spare cellars (without caps)
- Capacity per cellar: 18–22 g (depending on bean size and roast)
- Cellar material: Borosilicate glass, anodized aluminum caps
- Caddy dimensions: 30 × 9 × 4 cm (base); 15.5 cm tall with glass, 23 cm tall with brass handle

Why single-dose storage matters
Every time you open a coffee bag or canister, you let in fresh oxygen. Do that daily over a couple of weeks and the last doses in the bag taste noticeably flatter than the first. The Bean Cellar sidesteps this by dividing a bag into individual portions the moment you open it. Each tube is sealed with a one-way valve cap: CO2 released by freshly roasted beans pushes upward through the valve, displacing the lighter oxygen. The beans end up sitting in a CO2-rich environment until you’re ready to grind. Weber notes that ambient room light does not meaningfully affect freshness in their testing, so the clear glass is not a concern as long as you avoid direct sunlight.
Teak & Brass vs. Stabilized Maple Onyx
The glass cellars, aluminum caps, valve system, brass handle, and stainless steel funnel are the same across both variants. The difference is the caddy and the included brush. The Teak version uses a solid teak caddy with brass hardware and comes with a rosewood and brass coffee brush. The Stabilized Maple Onyx version uses European maple that has been dried below 5% moisture and pressure-infused with clear resin in an autoclave, a stabilization technique borrowed from knife-making and luthiery that makes the wood resistant to warping from moisture and temperature changes. The Onyx caddy and its matching brush are then flame-polished (literally set on fire), which creates a dark, charred surface with natural surface imperfections and fissures in the grain. Weber considers these part of the character of the finish, so expect variation between units.
