Product details
A pocket-sized digital coffee scale from Wacaco with a built-in timer. At 77 mm wide it fits on drip trays where larger scales will not, and it reads in 0.1 g steps up to 999.9 g, so it handles espresso dosing, shot weights and pour-over recipes.
This is the current version with updated software: auto-timer, auto-pause, mute and a reset function. It runs on two AAA batteries, which are not included, and comes with a removable silicone pad that protects the steel top from heat and spills.

What it does
The Exagram is a straightforward coffee scale: weight, tare and a timer, with no app or Bluetooth to set up. It reads in 0.1 g steps from 0.3 g to 999.9 g, then in 1 g steps up to the 2 kg maximum. That covers everything from an 18 g espresso dose to a full pour-over brew with the server on the scale. Weight can be shown in grams, ounces or millilitres.
The current version has updated software that adds an auto-timer, an auto-pause timer, a mute option for the beeps and a reset-all function. The backlit LCD dims after 30 seconds, and the scale switches itself off after 5 minutes without use to save the batteries.
Where it fits
The footprint is 77 x 124 mm and 24 mm high. The narrow width is the main reason to choose it: it fits under compact lever machines such as the Cafelat Robot and Flair 58, which have little room below the portafilter, and it packs easily alongside a portable espresso maker. The removable silicone pad insulates the stainless steel top from hot cups and gives brewers a non-slip surface to sit on.
Exagram or BOOKOO Themis Mini?
The Exagram covers the basics at a lower price and has twice the capacity. If you want to see flow rate during a shot, log brews in an app or skip disposable batteries, the BOOKOO Themis Mini adds Bluetooth, a flow rate display and a rechargeable battery in a square, slightly smaller footprint.
