Overview

This is a direct replacement handle for the Profitec E61 flow control device (item no. AC100094-00). The flow control itself is a stainless steel needle valve that mounts on top of the E61 group head, letting you restrict water flow during extraction for pre-infusion ramps, declining pressure, or gentler shots on light roasts. This handle is purely cosmetic: it doesn’t change how the valve performs, only how it looks on top of the machine.

The walnut wood version is designed to match Profitec’s wood-accented line, including the JUMP, MOVE, PRO 800, and the matte black Drive that originally inspired the look. If you’ve already added walnut portafilter handles or lever-valve handles from Profitec’s customization range, this completes the set on the flow control knob.

How it differs from a flow control paddle

Some flow control kits (notably the LUCCA and Lelit versions) use a wide wooden paddle instead of a knob. Paddles give you a longer lever arm and faster visual feedback on valve position, but they take up more space above the group and look quite different. The Profitec handle keeps the original knob shape and rotation feel, just in walnut instead of chrome. If you prefer the cleaner E61-style look and don’t want a paddle protruding from your machine, this is the right upgrade.

Installation

The original handle unscrews from the valve stem. Hold the body of the flow control device steady, twist off the stock knob, and screw the walnut handle on in its place. No tools required.
