Chemex Patent Poster – Handprinted Coffee History

This poster showcases detailed reproductions of the original CHEMEX® patent sketches from the 1940s and 50s, drawn by inventor Peter Schlumbohm. The artwork is taken directly from his original patent notebook, which still lives at the CHEMEX® headquarters today.

Printed by hand using traditional silkscreen techniques on thick, off-white paper, each piece has its own subtle character. It’s a quiet tribute to thoughtful design and the beginnings of an iconic brew method.
