What it is
Weber Workshops sells the oak caddy from its Polymer Bean Cellar set as a separate item. It is a block of solid oak, CNC-machined with slots sized for the standard Polymer Bean Cellar and hand-finished with a German non-VOC wax. The tubes stand upright in the slots, so you can see how many doses are left and lift one out without disturbing the rest.
The caddy itself does not keep coffee fresh. That is done by the tubes, whose one-way valve caps let CO2 from freshly roasted beans escape while keeping outside air from getting back in. What the caddy adds is order: a fixed home for a set of doses on the counter instead of loose tubes in a drawer.
Who it’s for
The caddy makes sense if you already own Polymer Bean Cellar tubes, bought individually or in bulk, and want a tidy place to keep them. It also works as a second caddy if you keep two coffees going at once, for example one for espresso and one for filter, or want to keep decaf apart from the rest.
If you are starting from nothing, the Bean Cellar set with polymer tubes is the more economical route, since it bundles an oak caddy with 10 or 12 tubes and a stainless steel bean funnel.
Compatibility
Weber designed this caddy specifically for its standard Polymer Bean Cellar. It is not compatible with the Glass Bean Cellar, which comes with its own caddy, or with the shorter Shorty Polymer Bean Cellar. Weber does not list any other brand’s dosing tubes as compatible.
