Overview
The BOOKOO Themis Ultra is a mid-size coffee scale designed to work across espresso, pour-over, and batch brewing. It sits in the space between tiny espresso-only scales (like BOOKOO’s own Themis Mini) and larger kitchen-style scales, with a footprint of 127 × 112 mm that fits on most espresso machine drip trays while still being wide enough to hold a pour-over dripper or two cups under a double spout.
The display shows up to three metrics simultaneously, including weight, timer, and flow rate, depending on which of the four built-in modes you select: Weight, Flow, Ratio, or Auto. In Auto mode, the scale tares when you place a cup and starts timing automatically when it detects liquid. Via Bluetooth, the scale syncs with the BOOKOO N app, Beanconqueror, or Odyssey Espresso for live flow graphs, brew logging, and recipe ghosting. It also integrates directly with smart espresso machines like the Decent Espresso and Gaggiuino for auto-stop at a target yield.
Why IP67 matters on a coffee scale
Most coffee scales are rated IPX4 (splash-resistant) at best, and many have no water resistance at all. The Themis Ultra carries a full IP67 rating, which means it can be submerged in water without damage. In practice, that means you can rinse it under a tap after a messy backflush, wipe steam residue off without worry, or clean it thoroughly between sessions. For anyone who has lost a scale to a spill or to steam corrosion over time, this is a meaningful difference. The body is made from transparent heat-resistant polycarbonate (not glass) with an internal steel plate, which also makes it more resistant to drops than glass-topped alternatives.

The Mini is the better pick if you use a lever machine with a compact drip tray (Flair 58, Cafelat Robot) or need maximum portability. The Ultra is the better pick if you brew across multiple methods, want the higher IP67 waterproofing, or need the 2,000 g capacity for pour-over and batch brewing.
