After being driven to the highlands for centuries by the Spanish conquerors, settlers and the drug wars, the Arhuaco have recently returned to their ancestral lands and sacred sites on the Caribbean coasts of La Lengüete (Colombia). Hidden in the shadow of the forest, the Businchari cocoa survived it all. The name means sunrise and new beginnings – and this is how the Arhuaco see the rebirth of their cocoa culture and heritage.
