Imponert over kvaliteten på espressoen man kan lage med denne manuelle bryggeren. Et par you tube videoer og så finne riktig kverningsgrad så er man langt på vei til nydelig espresso.

Dette er min første espresso-“maskin”. Jeg har hatt den i 2-3 uker nå og begynner å få sånn nogenlunde kontroll på prosessen. For en nybegynner som meg er det lett å gå seg vill i alle parametrene man skal holde styr på.
– Hvor mye kaffe?
– Hvor hardt skal man presse? (trykk)
– Hvor mye ferdig kaffe ut? (ratio)
– Hva er riktig malingsgrad?
– Hvor lang tid skal pre-infusion ta?
– Hva er optimal kontakt-tid?
Dersom du liker å navigere i dette landskapet så kommer du til å kose deg med denne maskinen. Om du ikke har tid og lyst til å sette deg inn i dette kan det være frustrerende. Alle parametrene ovenfor avhenger av hvilken kaffe du bruker og det finnes ingen fasit. Her er noen råd fra meg: Bruk litt stor dose i starten (feks 18g). Du må presse hardere enn man skulle tro for å komme opp i “riktig” trykk (6 bar +). Jeg har modellen uten trykksensor og har brukt en badevekt til å finne riktig område. Billige bønner fra L’or kombinert med litt lav dose ga meg masse problemer med “channeling” i starten => Kjøp skikkelige bønner. De er lettere å jobbe med. Skaff en kaffevekt som passer mellom beina på maskinen. Det er viktig å treffe riktig ratio for å få god smak.

Eg har brukt nesten 2 år på å bestemme meg for espressomaskin. I mellomtida laga eg espresso med ein Wacaco Picopresso og blei glad i å lage manuell espresso. Krava mine var at den skulle vere enkel, potensielt vare livet ut, kunne lage god espresso frå lysbrent til mørkbrent, ikkje ta for stor plass og sjå fin ut. Eg var eigentleg klar for å bruke store summar på ein Strietman CT2 eller Olympia Cremina, men etter eg sat meg skikkeleg inn i kva Roboten kunne gjere, så var eg ikkje i tvil. Ikkje berre kostar den ein brøkdel av prisen, men den treff på alle mine krav. Den er veldig rask og enkel å reingjere, ikkje noko descaling eller komplisert vedlikehald. Kona mi synes den er pen å sjå på og likar espressoen eg lagar til ho, barna seier at roboten tissar kaffi. Den gleder heile familien!
Akkurat no sit eg med ein kopp brygga på Bergen Kaffebrenneri sin Kenya Lesk, som er ein lysbrent kaffi, og den er heilt perfekt. Masse kokos og bær, perfekt balansert.
Dette er den perfekte maskina for meg som likar å lage manuell espresso og likar å bruke tid på å få det beste ut av kaffien.

Etter femten år med elektrisk semi-manuell espressomaskin som krever oppvarming og ekstraarbeid, er Cafelat Robot et lite mirakel! Nå går det maks fem minutter fra jeg har lyst på en espresso til jeg sitter med en kopp i hånda. Kast ut pucken etterpå og skyll. Enkelt og greit. Derfor blir denne brukt ofte. I tillegg smaker espressoen nydelig, og roboten er fin å se på når den ikke er i bruk. Anbefales på det varmeste!
