Juan got his passion for coffees from his dad who always wanted to produce a “big bean” variety,
which is why Juan has chosen to focus on Pacamara and Maragogype.

Juan started producing coffee back in 2002 but didn’t start focusing on quality until 2017. He saw
that, with the limited space he possessed and the volatility in the market, specialty coffee would
be the way to better provide for his family.

We work by the values of transparent trade. This helps create a healthy relationship with the farmer and financial sustainability for them.

We pay a quality bonus to Juan that is 124% above market price ($6/lb FOB). The quality bonus allows the farmer to continue to produce higher quality coffee.

Ground beans smell super vegetal (first thought was lentil vegetable soup) with a hint of baker’s chocolate. Scent of the brewed cup has some lime zest to it for sure! I’m getting toast and vegetable as far as taste goes – SO GOOD
