In the hills surrounding Mount Kenya, just a short drive from Nairobi, lies the Gakuyuini Factory washing station. This station processes coffee cherries from 1500 producers, nearly half of whom are women. Kenya has a well-developed coffee trading structure that is highly transparent, allowing producers to receive a significant portion of the sales price for their coffee. Many washing stations, including Gakuyuini, take pride in returning as much of the sales price as possible to the producers, with some stations offering up to 90% of the selling price.
Another slightly vegetal one! Im digging it 👌 nothing overly fancy, or too artsy, just a classically good cup of coffee.
