Overview

The Zeus sits in Eureka’s Oro range as their all-purpose commercial grinder. A single 85 mm flat burr set, finished with Eureka’s Pure Diamond coating, covers everything from fine espresso to coarse filter, so there’s no burr change when you switch brew method. What separates it from most café grinders is the ICE Motion motor: an AC variable-speed drive adjustable from 750 to 1400 RPM. Lower speeds reduce heat and fines, higher speeds increase throughput, so the grinder can be tuned to the bean and the cup. Adjustment is stepless and micrometric, with no stepped clicks limiting dial-in. Note there is no display or programmable timed dosing; grinding is manual via the hands-free portafilter fork.

How it compares to the Atom Specialty 75

Within Eureka’s lineup the Atom 75 is the closest sibling. The Atom uses 75 mm hardened-steel burrs at a fixed 1400 RPM and adds a colour display with timed single and double dosing plus a dose counter, which the Zeus leaves out. The Zeus answers with larger 85 mm diamond burrs, a variable-speed motor, and burr geometry tuned for filter as well as espresso. Choose the Atom if programmable timed dosing matters to your workflow; choose the Zeus if you want one machine that moves cleanly between espresso and filter and gives you control over grind speed.
