Happy Friday! As the first full week of December wraps up, we have the perfect coffee to ease you into the weekend from Sweden’s Morgon Coffee Roasters.
Today’s coffee is the Montero Family Catuai from the Tarrazu region of Costa Rica. For Morgon, this was a clear choice for the calendar: they’ve worked with the Montero family since the very beginning of their roasting journey and consider this one of their all-time favorite offerings. It’s a tribute to the amazing work the Monteros do and the excellent quality coming out of Costa Rica.

We’ve worked with the Montero family ever since the beginning of Morgon, and it’s one of our all time favourite coffees so it was an easy choice. We really wanna hightlight the work they do, and show how amazing Costa Rican coffees are!
Coffee: 18 grams
Water: 300g / 96 degrees
Grind size: About 700um / medium
Pour 50g of water to bloom for 30 seconds.
Pour 100g of water at 30 seconds, 100g more at one minute and the last 50g at 1:30.
Brew should finished around 3:15-3:30
