Good morning and welcome to December 4th! Today, we’ll a special detour to Finland for a coffee roasted by Frukt, the only roaster in our lineup from outside Norway, Sweden, or Denmark.
Frukt is known for their focus on quality and small-batch roasting, and they’ve chosen a brilliant representative from Kenya: the Kamagogo.
Sourced from the Kamagogo Coffee Factory in Kenya’s Murang’a County, this Washed coffee is a classic example of what makes Kenyan beans a cornerstone of specialty coffee.

Our first Kenyan coffee after a long while. Expressive and aromatic profile.
Coffee: 15 grams
Water: 250g / 94 degrees
Grind size: 800-950um / medium coarse
Rinse the filter with hot water.
Add coffee and level the bed.
Bloom for 30 seconds with 45g water.
Pour the rest of the water in one pour.
When the water’s through, remove the dripper and enjoy your cup.
