The Fish Pro X is Timemore’s gooseneck kettle for pour-over brewing, built around a control system they call temp X. It heats to your target in 0.5 °C increments and holds that temperature within ±0.5 °C, which is tight enough that you can reliably repeat a recipe day to day without drift between brews.

The kettle’s 1350 W element is not a fixed output; the firmware adjusts power based on water volume and altitude, and shuts off at the real local boiling point rather than forcing the water to a fixed 100 °C (useful if you live somewhere above sea level, where water boils cooler). Dry-boil protection and low-water detection are built in.

Design and controls

Controls sit on the base via a Grooveboard touch slider plus +/- buttons for quick adjustments. A dedicated Hold Temp button jumps to 100 °C in one press. The gooseneck spout is shaped for pour-over: it gives a steady, narrow stream for controlled rinses and bloom phases, with enough volume when tilted further for main pours. The handle includes a water-resistant wooden thumb rest, and under-lid steam vents direct steam sideways, away from your hand.

Notes on use

Timemore recommends at least 500 ml of water per heating cycle. With less, the 1350 W element can raise the temperature faster than the sensor reacts, leading to a small overshoot. The kettle is not dishwasher safe; wipe the interior and descale periodically if you use hard tap water.
