A travel kit built around your everyday brewer
OREA worked on travel packs for its earlier brewers for years and released none of them, because the filters and shapes never packed down well. The Z1, with its small filter and built-in drip assist, was the first brewer that fit. So instead of a separate travel brewer, the pack is built around the same Z1 you use at home, which means the same recipes and the same cup on the road.
How the cup works
The thick Tritan wall keeps the coffee warm without the outside getting too hot to hold, and it is transparent, so it looks and drinks more like a glass than a camping mug. A small spout in the rim pours at about 5 g per second, OREA’s recommended pour rate, and stays out of the way when you drink. A ridge on the base anchors the elastic cord, which runs through the lid and pulls the stack together with one tug.
One cup or two
One cup is the minimal setup: brew straight into it and pour from a thermos or kettle onto the Melodrip. With two cups stacked, one holds the brew while the other works as a pouring jug, or as a second cup to share. If you do not have the brewer yet, the OREA Z1 Zero-Bypass Brewer is the one this pack is made for. OREA puts one packed travel pack at about 70% of the volume of an AeroPress Go.
