Figgjo Oslo captures and challenges coffee trends. These products allow you to tailor the experience of the coffee’s aroma in a completely new way. Figgjo won the Red Dot Design Award in 2016 with this series which were developed together with Tim Wendelboe and designer Kristin Hærnes Ihlen. The series consists of three cups; “Tulip”, “Open” and “Split” which enhance the taste experience in their own way. Figgjo was established in 1941 and is known for its beautiful, functional and robust porcelain.  The cups feel great in the hand and are a favorite here at the KaffeBox office.

    A bit pricey, but well worth it. It’s quality porcelain that will last you a lifetime. This will not chip and shatter as easily as your cups.

    I have the Open shape cups and the Aeropress fits inside, but note that the Aeropress filter cap takes up quite a bit of volume inside the cup. If you press your 200 ml brew into the cup directly, it will overflow and you’ll have bad time cleaning up the mess.

    I will probably order the Figgjo kanne as my Aeropress “pressing vessel”. Again, a bit pricey, but James Hoffman has taught us all to be fancy 🙂

    These cups are fantastic. THEY REALLY WORK!!!! I bought the “tulip” and the “split”. We’ve done several taste-tests, just this morning in fact (Ethiopian from the current shipment with both cups) and the split really highlights the coffee!!! Even my wife, who was skeptical at first, is a believer. Def a “must” in the coffee arsenal!!!!
