The 1Zpresso Q Air is the entry-level model in 1Zpresso’s lineup, designed around portability and a low price point. It uses the same 38 mm heptagonal stainless steel burr set found in the standard Q, paired with a polycarbonate body and catch cup to keep weight down. The internal adjustment dial gives 30 clicks per rotation, with the usable range covering pour-over, AeroPress, French press, and cold brew. Espresso is technically possible but slow, since the short handle reduces leverage at fine grind sizes.

Who it’s for

This grinder makes the most sense for solo brewers, travellers, and people just getting into specialty coffee who want a real burr grinder without spending K-Ultra money. The 15-20 g capacity is enough for one cup at a time, not multiple servings. If you regularly brew for two or grind for espresso, a heavier model like the 1Zpresso Q (with a foldable handle) or the X-Ultra will serve you better.

Notes on use and cleaning

The grinder disassembles by hand without tools, and reassembly does not require recalibration. Do not wash the burrs or inner mechanism with water, as the 420 stainless steel can rust. Use a brush or air blower for the burrs; the catch cup can be rinsed separately. The plastic catch cup can hold static, so a small drop of water on the beans before grinding (the “RDT” trick) helps reduce mess.
