Product details
The Diamond A is 1Zpresso’s first tabletop manual grinder. Instead of being held in one hand, it suctions to the counter and is driven by a side crank that folds flat into the body when not in use. The 50 mm octagonal conical burr is the largest 1Zpresso has put in a manual grinder.
Grind size is set from a top-mounted dial in 15 micron steps, and the whole grinder comes apart magnetically without tools for cleaning. It covers pour-over through espresso-style brewing across light and dark roasts.
- Burr: 50 mm octagonal conical, low-carbon / high-nitrogen alloy
- Adjustment: top disk, 15 microns per click, over 100 clicks of range
- Catch bin: 80 g, magnetic twist-off
- Weight: 3 kg
- Dimensions (H×L×W): 20 × 14 (24 with handle extended) × 7 cm
- Materials: aluminium alloy, stainless steel, silicone

A manual grinder that stays on the counter
Every other 1Zpresso grinder is built to be held. The Diamond A is not. It sits on the worktop, held down by an integrated suction base, and you turn a side crank rather than a top handle. That changes the ergonomics quite a bit: you are not bracing the body against your chest or fighting torque with your off hand, so longer doses and fine espresso grinds take noticeably less effort. The crank telescopes and folds into the frame when you are done, so it does not stick out on the counter.
The burr is a 50 mm octagonal conical made from a low-carbon, high-nitrogen alloy, larger than the 48 mm burrs used across the K and ZP6 lines. Larger burrs mean fewer turns per dose. The catch bin holds 80 g and twists off magnetically, and the entire burr assembly drops out without tools when you want to clean it.
Where it sits against the K-Ultra and the ZP6
If you already know 1Zpresso’s range, the useful reference points are the K-Ultra and the ZP6 Special. The ZP6 is a specialist: its hexagonal burr is shaped for filter brewing and produces a very clean, articulate cup. The K-Ultra is the all-rounder, with more body and a wider brewing range. The Diamond A is positioned between the two, with 1Zpresso describing it as versatile from pour-over through to espresso-style brewing across light and dark roasts.
The practical difference is not really flavour, though. It is form factor. Both the K-Ultra and the ZP6 fit in a bag and travel; the Diamond A weighs 3 kg and is meant to live on your counter. Choose it if you grind at home every day and want the effort taken out of it, not if you want something to bring to the cabin.
Grind adjustment
Adjustment is done from a disk on top of the grinder, with a triangle indicator pointing at the current setting. Each click moves the burr 15 microns, which is fine enough to dial espresso without hunting, and there are over 100 clicks of total range. Turning the dial counterclockwise moves you towards coarser settings.

Cleaning and care
The magnetic modular structure means the burr assembly comes out by hand, no calibration tools and no re-zeroing afterwards. Do not wash the grinder or its internal parts with water; 1Zpresso specifies brush and blower only, with water and alcohol as the only approved wiping agents. The silicone suction cup components are the exception and can be rinsed, then dried fully before refitting.
