Production Details
Kamwangi is one of two washing stations (locally known as “factories”) under the New Ngariama Cooperative Society. Located in the highlands surrounding Mount Kenya, the station processes coffee from smallholder farmers who typically own around 100 coffee trees each.
The farmers deliver freshly picked cherries to the factory daily, where they personally assist in sorting for defects before processing begins. This results in a soft, juicy cup with characteristic Kenyan notes of raspberry and a smooth vanilla finish.
