The coffee beans are traditionally processed, before being washed and sorted in channels and dried on raised beds. The farmers mainly cultivate SL28 and SL34, but as with almost all Kenyan cooperatives, there may be a mix of everything. Other common varieties are K7, Ruiru 11, and now also Batian.
