Svenska Kakao offers a classic combination in their dark chocolate bar: the perfect blend of salty and sweet. The sea salt used in this chocolate comes from the small Danish island of Læsø in the Kattegatt Sea, a place with a rich history of salt mining dating back to the Middle Ages. Læsø salt is produced through age-old traditions, boiling salty groundwater from the Kattegatt over open fires and drying the harvested salt in wicker baskets.

This unique, traditionally-harvested sea salt is masterfully combined with Svenska Kakao’s 74% dark chocolate, made from Tanzanian cacao beans. The result is a harmonious blend of rich, dark chocolate and the crisp, distinctive taste of Læsø sea salt.

Crafted by a small team of skilled chocolatiers in their Österlen factory, their chocolates have garnered international acclaim, winning several prizes and being featured in star restaurants and prestigious department stores like Isetan in Tokyo, Lafayette in Paris, and KaDeWe in Berlin.
