Precision Perforation
Unlike standard stamped baskets, IMS Competition baskets use a patented perforation system. Each of the 641 holes is individually punched with a conical cross-section. This shape prevents obstruction and ensures a smoother flow of coffee oils, reducing the risk of micro-channeling.

Electropolished Finish
The surface of the steel is electropolished to remove microscopic roughness. This mirror-like finish reduces friction during extraction and makes the cleaning process significantly easier, as spent pucks knock out more cleanly with less residue.

Extraction Profile
Users typically report higher clarity and flavour separation when switching to this basket. Due to the high-flow geometry of the holes, you may find it necessary to grind slightly finer than with the stock 9Barista basket to achieve the same shot time.
