Nordics Best Roaster
2026 Sample Sets
Nordics Best Roaster is a competition judged by fellow coffee professionals, designed to test the real-world skills and expertise of the region’s top roasters. It celebrates the dedication, craft, and excellence required to stand among the best in the field.
At the end of February 2026, ten of the finest Nordic roasters will gather at the Nordic Coffee Fest in Gothenburg to compete for the title of Nordics Best Roaster 2026.
A total of 25 roasters applied to compete in the initial heats of the Nordics Best Roaster, with each roaster being tasked with entering a bag of coffee of their choosing. All submitted coffees were then blind-cupped twice by a jury consisting of 17 esteemed industry professionals – producers, importers, coffee roasters, and notable baristas. Nordic Coffee Fest is pleased to reveal the results of the cuppings and announce the 10 finalists who will be competing in the final round, taking place during Nordic Coffee Fest 2026.

The set will arrive with veiled labels so you’ll be able to cup and pick your favorite coffees before revealing which were the official winners. For the Mandatory Coffee category, each roaster is given the same coffee with which to product the best tasting roast.

In the sourced coffee category, each roaster is asked to source and roast a coffee of their choice.
