Nordics Best Roaster is a roasting competition judged by fellow coffee professionals. It presents an uncompromising challenge, highlighting the real-world skills and expertise of the world’s top coffee roasters. This competition celebrates the hard work and dedication required to become one of the best in the field.
In March of 2025, 10 of the best coffee roasters in the Nordics will bring their best to the Nordic Coffee Fest in Gothenburg to find out who will be the 2025 Nordics Best Roaster.
A total of 27 roasters applied to compete in the initial heats of the Nordics Best Roaster, with each roaster being tasked with entering a bag of coffee of their choosing. All submitted coffees were then blind-cupped twice by a jury consisting of 17 esteemed industry professionals – producers, importers, coffee roasters, and notable baristas. Nordic Coffee Fest is pleased to reveal the results of the cuppings and announce the 10 finalists who will be competing in the final round, taking place during Nordic Coffee Fest 2025.

Sourced Coffee
Taste each of the 10 competing Sourced Coffee roasts from the Nordics Best Roaster 2025 competition. The set will arrive with veiled labels so you’ll be able to cup and pick your favorite coffees before revealing which were the official winners. In the sourced coffee category, each roaster is asked to source and roast a coffee of their choice.
Best Roaster is a peer-assessed, uncompromising challenge, focused on the real-world skills and expertise of the world’s best coffee roasters. More than that, it is a celebration of the hard work and dedication that goes into being one of the world’s best coffee roasters.

Taste each of the 10 competing Mandatory Coffee roasts from the Nordics Best Roaster 2025 competition. The set will arrive with veiled labels so you’ll be able to cup and pick your favorite coffees before revealing which were the official winners. For the Mandatory Coffee category, each roaster is given the same coffee with which to product the best tasting roast.
