Why water?
Clean water is essential to life. It supports health, dignity, education, food security, and livelihoods. Access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene is a human right, and one of the most effective ways to improve quality of life.
Yet today, hundreds of millions of people still lack access to clean and safe drinking water, and billions more live with water systems that are unreliable or unsafe. Water scarcity is increasing due to population growth, climate change, and pressure from agriculture and industry.
Without safe water, preventable diseases spread, ecosystems degrade, and communities are held back from long-term development.
How KaffeBox contributes
We know we’re not the solution. But we believe in steady, transparent contributions that support proven work on the ground.
That’s why we partner with organisations that specialise in clean water, and make sure funds go where they create the greatest impact.
Clean water through every bag of coffee
Partner: Water.org
For every bag of coffee we send out, KaffeBox donates 1 NOK to Water.org, a global nonprofit working to expand access to safe water and sanitation.
Water.org has helped more than 85 million people gain access to water or sanitation solutions. Through innovative financing and local partnerships, they make it possible for families to invest in lasting water access.
Thanks to program efficiency, each bag of coffee you receive helps provide three months of safe water for one person.
Clean water through our advent calendar
For our Specialty Coffee Advent Calendars, we partner with charity: water.
Charity: water uses 100% of public donations to fund clean water projects around the world. Every project is documented with GPS coordinates, photos, and completion reports, so supporters can see exactly where the money goes.
For every Advent Calendar purchased, KaffeBox donates 200 NOK to support clean water initiatives through charity: water. Over the years, this has fully sponsored multiple water projects across several countries.
These projects have provided safe water access to thousands of people, with long-term infrastructure designed to serve communities for years to come.
