Kenya Muchagara AA – Green Coffee Beans

115 NOK

The Muchagara washing station is a part of the Baragwi Cooperative Society, located near the town of Muchagara in the Kirinyaga region. Established in 1959, the Muchagara washing station is one of the oldest in Kenya, and is now home to over 100 members who deliver their cherries to be processed. Most of the farmers have between 200 and 500 trees on their land. The cherries are cleaned and fermented on the same day they are delivered, and after 36-48 hours of fermentation, the coffee beans are transferred to water tanks. After being washed, the beans are dried for 10-15 days.
