Søskenparet Daniel og Rachel Peterson er tredje generasjon svensk-amerikanere i Boquete. De startet Hacienda La Esmeralda for omlag 18 år siden uten å være klar over hvilke fantastiske skatter som befant seg der. I 2008 bestemte de seg for å starte å holde private auksjoner av den eksklusive arten Geisha.

Dette er eksepsjonell kaffe fra spesielt flinke kaffebønder! Og for å si det som det er: Dette er nå verdens mest berømte kaffegård, med verdens mest premierte kaffe. Med fare for å virke som at vi vil sole oss i deres glans, vel, KAFFA har vært deres første, og i sin tid eneste europeiske kaffekjøper. Nå får man Geisha “over alt”, men i realiteten er det ikke mange sekker av deres kaffen tilgjengelig, og de aller fleste selges til USA og Japan.

I år har vi tatt inn et mikeroparti med bærtørket Geisha fra deres “private collection”, dette er kaffepartier dyrket på familiens gårder Jaramillo, Quiel og Cañas Verdes som ligger på 1600 – 1800 moh.

The siblings Daniel and Rachel Peterson are third generation Swedish-Americans in Boquete. They started Hacienda La Esmeralda about 18 years ago without realizing what wonderful treasures awaited them. In 2008, they decided to start holding private auctions of the exclusive Geisha variety of coffee.

This is exceptional coffee from particularly talented coffee farmers! And to say it bluntly: this is now the world’s most famous coffee farm, with the world’s most prestigious coffee. KAFFA was an early purchaser from the La Esmeralda farm and for a time, the only European coffee buyer. Now you get Geisha “everywhere”, but in reality there are not many bags of their coffee available, and most of them are sold to the United States and Japan.

This year we have brought in two micro lots, a natural and a washed Geisha from their “private collection”, these are coffee lots grown on the family farms Jaramillo, Quiel and Cañas Verdes which are located at 1600 – 1800 masl.
