Ethiopia Chelbesa – Green Coffee Beans

To ensure the sweetest flavor, the coffee farmers at this location carefully let their coffee cherries ripen before harvesting them. They believe that their god will guide them to the perfect moment to begin picking. The farmers in this area may need to walk for up to two hours to deliver their cherries to the washing station. Girum Assefa keeps a close eye on the administration of the station and the processing of the cherries, which are brought in by a total of 170 farmers.
